How It Works

We are Passionate About Renewable Energy and Sustainability At Every Scale

Navajo Power Home was built to make reliable electricity more accessible for families across the Navajo and Hopi Nations.

You don’t need to wait years for the grid. You don’t need a homesite lease. And you don’t need existing wiring in your home to get started.

Our goal is simple: help you get dependable power in your home as quickly and smoothly as possible.

STEP 1:

Apply for Service

Start by filling out a sign-up form with basic information about your home and your electrical needs.

Once we receive your application, one of our representatives will contact you to learn more about your household and determine which system is the best fit for your daily use.

We’ll walk through things like:

  • Household size
  • Daily energy needs
  • Existing wiring (if any)
  • Appliances and devices you want to power

STEP 2:

Review & Scheduling

If we have a solution that fits your needs, we’ll collect the activation fee and place your home on our installation schedule.

Unlike many traditional utility services, we don’t operate on long waitlists. Most installations can typically be scheduled within about 7–10 days.

All service plans require a minimum one-year commitment.

STEP 3:

Installation Day

When our team arrives, we’ll first meet with you and review the installation plan for your home.

Your solar system includes:

  • An indoor system cabinet that houses the main system Components
  • A ground-mounted solar panel array installed outside your home

We’ll identify the best placement for both parts of the system to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Most installations are completed in a single day.

STEP 4:

Accessing Power in Your Home

There are multiple ways to use electricity from your system depending on your home setup.

We may:

  • Connect directly to your existing electrical panel
  • Install a simple home wiring package
  • Provide direct access to power through the system outlet

If your home doesn’t currently have wiring, you can still begin using electricity right away.

STEP 5:

Start Using Reliable Power

Once installation is complete, your home will have access to dependable electricity the same day.

That means:

  • Lighting for your home
  • Refrigeration for food and groceries
  • Charging phones and devices
  • Power for daily living

For many families, it means spending less time and money relying on generators and fuel.

We’re here to help keep your system running reliably over time—not leave you on your own to manage it.
