Shaping a
Just Energy Future
for Tribal Communities
Honoring Traditions,
Empowering Tomorrow
On Tribal lands, the dream of renewable energy often feels out of reach. Complex regulations, aging infrastructure, and partnerships that fail to honor cultural values can stand in the way. At Navajo Power, we’re here to change that.
We work side-by-side with investors, other developers, and Tribal communities to develop renewable energy and energy storage projects that create real, lasting benefits. By simplifying the process of building utility-scale projects on Tribal lands, we provide guidance at every step. Our deep expertise and strong relationships with local communities help reduce investment risks, offering peace of mind to all stakeholders. And most importantly, we ensure every project honors cultural sovereignty while fostering long-term economic opportunities.
Together, we’re not just building energy solutions—we’re empowering communities and shaping a more sustainable future for everyone.

Our Team
Behind every project at Navajo Power is a dedicated team passionate about creating meaningful change through renewable energy. Meet the people driving innovation, fostering partnerships, and working to empower Tribal communities for a sustainable future.
Why Choose Navajo Power?

We Organize
Navajo Power partners with Tribal communities to initiate renewable energy projects. Together, we evaluate potential sites and assess their feasibility in collaboration with Tribal stakeholders. Once aligned, we solidify our commitment through a signed letter of intent to begin development.

We Develop
Navajo Power takes the lead in managing the development of the project, including marketing the energy to potential buyers. We secure long-term financing from investors and lenders while ensuring Tribal partners are offered the opportunity to purchase equity in the project, empowering them with ownership options.

Tribes Benefit
Tribal partners receive significant economic benefits, including revenue from lease payments, taxes, and equity ownership in the project. Additionally, a portion of Navajo Power’s profits supports the Community Benefits Fund, which directly benefits Tribal hosts. Revenue distribution is thoughtfully managed to ensure sustainable prosperity for Tribal Nations.

Testimonials

“Positive examples in this address environmental challenges while also intentionally addressing economic inequities and prioritising governance, by centring the leadership and initiative of the people from communities who are most vulnerable from an environmental perspective. For example, Indigenous traditions have long linked communal governance with models of resilience and regeneration; models like Navajo Power and Working Power ensure that the most impacted communities have some form of governance input or influence as well as a piece of any economic gains that emerge from the clean energy transition.”
