Painted Desert Power (PDP)

Solar Initiative

Painted Desert Power is a planned 750 MW ac solar-plus-storage project. When built, it will be located in the Navajo Chapter of Coalmine Canyon, in the former Bennett
Freeze area.

The Project will re-utilize lands impacted by historic uranium mining, employ a strong Navajo workforce, generate revenue for local stakeholders and the central Navajo Nation
government.

Navajo Power, PBC (“Navajo Power”) is developing Painted Desert Power in partnership with AES Clean Energy, a leading independent power producer and Fortune 500
company.
